The Forge is drawn around the things that fail on bar stools: footrings that slip, legs that rack, backs that loosen. Its legs splay outward for a wider stance, are tied together with cross stretchers, and carry a full round footring whose ends are socketed into the leg tubes rather than clamped around the outside, so it cannot slide down under a heel.
Fixed numbers. Seat height 30 in (76 cm) for a 40-42 in bar; counter version at 24 in (61 cm) for a 36 in counter. Overall height 41 in (104 cm) on the bar version. Footring 8.7 in (22 cm) from the floor, 1 in (2.5 cm) tube.
Construction. Black powder-coated steel legs and stretchers; upholstered oval back pad with an open gap to the seat; round upholstered seat with contrast welt. Glides sized to your floor.
Where it works. Cocktail bars, hotel bars, restaurant bar counters, kitchen counters and high-top tables.
Options. Bouclé, vinyl, leather or COM; footring brass-tone, black or bronze; frame color; counter or custom height.
