The Lowell Cane-Back Stool carries the natural texture of cane up to bar and counter height. A curved, cane-filled back sits on a dark-walnut hardwood frame with splayed legs and a brass-tone footring, and the seat cushion lifts off for cleaning or replacement.
Construction. Solid hardwood legs and back frame, mortise-and-tenon joined, with stretchers below the seat and a metal footring fixed into the legs. The cane back is set into a groove so it can be replaced if damaged. Removable upholstered seat cushion on a solid seat base.
Wood stools in commercial use. A tall wood stool sees more leverage at its joints than a dining chair, so we specify thicker leg sections and a lower stretcher on stools than on matching chairs, and we tighten and test every joint before packing.
Where it works. Cafe counters, hotel bars, wine bars, brasseries and kitchen-counter seating. It pairs with the Lowell Cane Panel Chair in the dining room.
Options. Bar 30 in (76 cm) or counter 24-26 in (61-66 cm) seat height; walnut, natural or black finish; seat fabric or vinyl; footring finish.
