The Quinn is a small-footprint armchair that gives you the comfort of arms without the bulk. The inner shell is upholstered in a soft grey fabric; the outer shell, the part that gets bumped by passing servers and other chairs, is wrapped in a harder-wearing caramel vinyl. The split is practical as much as it is decorative.
Construction. Molded or framed shell with high-resilience foam, separately upholstered inner and outer surfaces, and a seat cushion on a solid pan. Slim tapered legs, in wood or wood-finish metal depending on version, are fixed through a reinforced seat frame.
Why two materials. Fabric is warmer to sit on; vinyl survives scuffs and cleaning chemicals better. Putting each where it performs best gives you comfort and durability in one chair.
Where it works. Restaurants with tight table spacing that still want armchairs, hotel restaurants, cafes and coworking cafes.
Options. Any combination of contract fabric and vinyl; leg finish; arm height confirmed against your tables.
